Fat32Format

About Fat32Format

What is Fat32Format?

Fat32Format is a free, lightweight, portable Windows utility for formatting USB flash drives, memory cards, and external storage as FAT32 - including drives larger than 32 GB, which the standard Windows graphical formatter often will not format as FAT32. It does one specific job and keeps the process simple: select the drive, choose an allocation unit size, and start formatting. There is no installation and no command line to learn.

What is this website?

fat32format.app is an independent website. Our only goal is to give people a simple, fast way to learn about and download the Fat32Format utility, along with clear, practical instructions on how to format a large drive as FAT32 safely. We do not host a modified build and we do not bundle anything extra.

Developed by Ridgecrop Consultants

Fat32Format was created by Ridgecrop Consultants, Ltd., a UK software engineering consultancy specializing in embedded development, device drivers, file systems, and low-level Windows software. That engineering background shaped the tool around a precise technical problem - creating large FAT32 volumes without relying on Windows' standard formatting options - and the result is a compact utility with a focused interface and minimal overhead. You can read more on the developer's official Fat32Format page.
